In natural environments, Psilocybe cubensis Blue Meanie specimens are sometimes found in regions overlapping with Panaeolus cyanescens, particularly in subtropical climates such as Australia. Blue Meanie spores are typically dark purple in color and are capable of producing rich, well-defined spore prints. A notable identifying feature of this variety is the deep blue staining that can appear across multiple surfaces when the mushroom tissue is contacted.
