Named for the distinct caramel-gold coloration of its mature pileus (cap) and its consistent, textbook-defined genetics, Golden Teacher provides reliable, uniform spore characteristics that make it ideal for both introductory and advanced microscopic examination.

Under high-power magnification (400x to 1000x oil immersion), Golden Teacher spores resolve cleanly with uniform diagnostic markers:

How many spores are in a 10cc syringe?

Each syringe contains millions of Golden Teacher Spores.  It’s important to note that individual spores are far too small to see (11.5–17.0um) for the naked eye. However, the visible specks and cloudiness suspended in the syringe are dense clusters of them. Each 10cc syringe carries enough for many individual slide preparations, and spore density is checked before shipment as part of our standard quality testing.

How should Golden Teacher spore syringes be stored?

Store spore syringes in a clean, dark, refrigerated environment between 35°F–46°F or at room temp in a dark room or closet. Do not freeze. When stored properly, spore samples retain full research stability for 9 to 24 months.
